Jeremy Michael Kampeter, 46, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, with his family by his side.
He was born June 24, 1977, to Lawrence “Larry” Clarence and Mary Lee (Steinman) Kampeter in Jefferson City.
He was united in marriage to Stephanie Ann Hermann, June 16, 2001.
Jeremy grew up in Vienna, and was a 1995 graduate of Maries R-1 High School. He attended Lincoln University where he graduated in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems. He was employed with the Missouri Department of Transportation.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Lawrence and Rita Kampeter; and maternal grandparents, William “Bill” and Frances Steinman.
Jeremy is survived by wife of 22 years, Stephanie; sons, Ethan and Sam Kampeter; parents, Larry and Mary Kampeter of Vienna; brother, Jason Kampeter (Brandy Workman-Kampeter) of Vienna; parents-in-law, Dan and Cher Hermann of Jefferson City; and brothers-in-law, Joel Hermann (Baileigh) of Denver, Colo., Philip Hermann (Leslie) of Kansas City, and Jonathan Hermann (Ashley) of Castle Pines, Colo.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 22, at Capital City Christian Church.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Freeman Mortuary.
