Aaron Weckenborg

Aaron Joseph Weckenborg, 33, Vienna, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 20, 1986, to Ronald and Laverne (Mengwasser) Weckenborg, in Jefferson City.

He was united in marriage to Abby Jo Jones, April 14, 2008, at First Baptist Church, Belle.

Aaron was a 2005 graduate of Helias Catholic High School and a 2012 graduate of Lincoln University, where he majored in natural resources. He had worked as a research assistant in the Lincoln University Agriculture Department and at Quaker Window Products. He was confirmed into the Catholic faith and was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Vienna. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 13178 of Vienna.

He was preceded in death by father, Ronald; maternal grandparents, Agnes Haslag and Arthur Mengwasser; and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Alice Weckenborg.

He is survived by siblings, Lisa Stuecken and husband Ryan “Squirrel” of Freeburg, Scott Weckenborg and wife Julie of Jefferson City and Sara Milne and husband Joe of Littleton, Colo.

A mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, Feb. 29, at Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church with Father Anthony Viviano officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Sassmann’s Chapel, Belle.
