Aldean “Woody” Wood, 76, Dixon, passed away Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020, at his residence in Dixon.
He was born Nov. 9, 1943, to Arthur Dean and Lessie Mae (Brown) Wood in North Carolina.
He was united in marriage to Kathleen Lynn Hosp, Dec. 5, 1985, in Tulsa, Okla.
Aldean was employed with Wal-Mart and was as a former minister for the Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Lake Ozark.
Aldean was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Lessie; and grandchild, Brittany Carol Jeffries.
He is survived by wife, Kathleen “Kathy” of the home in Dixon; children, Denise Berry and husband Steve, Camille Sherrell and husband Lindsey, all of Iberia, Neal Wood and wife Theresa of South Carolina, Joel Wood and Aaron Wood, both of Winston Salem, N.C., Amy Vineyard and husband Jimmy and Amber Asberry, all of Dixon; 17 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Lake Ozark with Rev. Charles L. Kempf officiating.
