Alfred “Fritz” Wieberg, 72, of Freeburg, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in St. Mary’s Hospital, Jefferson City, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Jan. 8, 1952, a son of Edward Joseph and Marie Ann (Steinman) Wieberg
Fritz was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg. He had worked for McGraw Edison, Jefferson City, and later for Quaker Window Products, Freeburg, as well as being a farm helper for many years.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Marie; sisters, infant Nancy Wieberg, infant Betty Wieberg and Delores Hoffman; brother, Bernard F. Wieberg Sr.; brothers-in-law, Anthony Mengwasser, David Baysinger, John Lynch and Brenda’s fiancé, Joshua Buddemeyer.
Fritz is survived by wife, Lisa Wieberg of Freeburg; children, Aron Wieberg, Jamie Wieberg, Bradley Wieberg and Brenda Wieberg all of Freeburg; four grandchildren; and siblings, John Wieberg and wife Judy of Freeburg, Rita Ann Lynch of Jefferson City, and Donna Baysinger of Freeburg.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 26, in Holy Family Catholic Church, Freeburg, with Rev. William D. Debo officiating. Interment was in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Freeburg.
