Andreas Hollnberger, 84, of Sillin, Germany, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at his grandson's home near Dixon.
He was born on Nov. 25, 1938, to Xaver and Maria (Reif) Hollnberger at Kallmunz, Germany.
He was of the Catholic Faith and worked for Stadtischer Friedhof Dreifaltigkeitsberg (Funeral Home), as a groundskeeper.
Andreas was preceded in death by wife; parents, Xaver and Maria; son, Manfred Hollnberger; seven brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by son, Ottmar Hollnberger of Germany; eight grandchildren and their spouses; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family elected cremation, per Andreas wishes. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Germany.
