Vienna Police Chief Shannon Thompson said the arrest is imminent of the suspected thief who stole two trucks in Vienna last week.
Thompson reported that on Feb. 13 the Vienna Police Department investigated the attempted theft of a 1994 Dodge pickup from 505 S. Highway 63 and the theft of a 2012 Dodge pickup truck stolen from 909 S. Highway 63.
With the cooperation of businesses along Highway 63, through use of their surveillance footage, it was determined that the offenses occurred between 3:05 and 3:20 a.m. that morning and the stolen truck left the area northbound and continued northbound through Freeburg approximately 10 minutes later.
Thompson said a suspect has been identified in the investigation and an arrest warrant was sought for a 31-year-old St. James man.
