Belle High School will host its open house Aug. 19 with social distancing in mind.
Freshman and new student orientation will be held in varying time slots by last name.
“This will only be for incoming freshmen and new students,” the building administrators announced on Facebook. “Students will be accompanied by a staff member around the school for a tour and will answer any questions students have. No parents or guardians will be allowed on the tour to keep the number of people on tour down and to keep visitors out of the building for the safety of the students and staff.”
Time slots by the first initial of the last name are:
(A-B) 5-5:20 p.m.
(C-H) 5:20-5:40 p.m.
(I-L) 5:40-6 p.m.
(M-R) 6-6:20 p.m.
(S) 6:20-6:40 p.m.
(T-Z) 6:40-7 p.m.
Groups will meet outside the main entrance. Student schedules can be found on the Student Portal in advance.
For those unable to attend or would like more information, the high school posted a virtual open house to their page. Teacher introduction videos were also posted, but anyone who would like to make contact with their teachers may do so via email or by calling the high school office and making an appointment. Emails can be found on the district’s website at www.mariesr2.org.
Appointments will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 20 via video conference or conference call.
