Having their senior night spoiled just two nights earlier at the hands of Viburnum’s Lady Blue Jays, Evin Farris’ Belle Lady Tiger varsity volleyball team competed Saturday at the New Haven Round Robin Volleyball Tournament looking to leave Highway 100 in Franklin County with some medals. Defeating Bowling Green 25-14 and 25-16. Before that in pool play, Belle split with New Haven before sweeping Bowling Green 25-5 and 25-11. Belle was then swept by Winfield 25-17 and 25-17 who went on to defeat New Haven in the championship match. Competing in Linn Tuesday, Belle Lady Tiger will play their second match within the Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) on the road Thursday night in Cuba against the Lady Wildcats with matches beginning at 5 p.m.
