Belle, Vienna April election openings

Candidate filing for the April 2, 2020, elections will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 and end at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Open seats for the following entities in Belle include:

Maries County R-2 School Board with three open seats currently held by Amy Kiso, Garret Bialzcyk and Brent Stratman are up for election, each with a three-year term.

Candidates may declare their intent to run at the Maries R-2 Administration Building during school hours.

Belle Board of Aldermen Ward I held by Ken Stanfield, and Ward II held by Jeanette Struemph are up for election, each with a two-year term.

Candidates may file at Belle Administration Building.

Ozark Central Ambulance District has two board of director seats open. District 2 in Belle is currently held by Cindy Butler and District 5 in Bland is occupied by Mark Cooper. Cooper was appointed to finish the term of Megan Krause. Each seat has a three-year term.

In Vienna, the Maries R-1 School Board has three positions with three-year terms. Those positions on the school board currently are held by Board President Cindy Petershagen, and board members Vicki Bade and Penny Schoene. Candidates may declare their intention to run at the high school office.

Board positions up for election on the Maries-Osage Ambulance District Board include subdistrict 2 currently held by Board President Don Lanning, and subdistrict 5 currently held by Vice President Steve Maxwell. Potential board members may file at the Vienna ambulance base for the three-year term positions.
