Belle Volunteer Fire Department on Aug. 11 assisted Maries R-2 in celebrating their last day of summer school with an annual water day. Students played beneath the hose that was attached to the fire truck while a second truck brought in water. It wasn’t long before students discovered sideline puddles made perfect water slides at the track behind the Belle High School. Parents were notified of the event in advance to send extra clothes.
