Berniece Etta Steuber, 98, Vienna, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, in Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City.

She was born June 9, 1921, to Joseph Barney and Odessia Christine (Wagner) Stratman, at Vienna.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Steuber, Oct.12, 1940, at Vienna.

Berniece was employed with Tweedie Shoe Factory, Jefferson City, sewing backpacks and pistol belts for the military during WWII and was later employed at Quaker Window Products Company, Freeburg, as well as working on the family dairy farm. She was a member of Rader United Methodist Church, Vienna.

She was preceded in death by parents, Joe and Odessia; husband, Ernie; and sister, Anna McKinney and husband Clarence.

She is survived by son, Roger Steuber and wife Kathleen of Vienna; and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be (today) May 27, from 5-7 p.m. at Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Vienna. Private funeral services will be Thursday, May 28, at 10 a.m. in Rader United Methodist Church, Vienna with the Rev. Karen Alden officiating. Interment will be in the Rader Cemetery, Vienna. Memorial contributions suggested to Rader Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
