Bobby Ray Cook, 76, Licking, formerly of Belle, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020, at his residence.

He was born March 19, 1944, to George and Dorothy (Walker) Cook, in Belle.

He was united in marriage to Carol “Sue” Hayes, Aug. 11, 1963.

Bobby attended Little Dixie School near Belle. He was a member of the Duke Community Lighthouse Assembly of God. Bobby had been a self-employed farrier for most of his life and shod horses at Boys Town in St. James for many years. He also worked at Kingsford, Purina and as a vet assistant for a time.

He was preceded in death by parents, George and Dorothy; wife, Sue; siblings, Gene and Delmar Cook and Verlee Berry; sisters-in-law, Sandy and Sharron Cook; brother-in-law, Chester Steen; and grandchild, Trevor Bentlage.

He is survived by daughters, Lori Bentlage and husband Robbie of Belle and Bobby Manion of Licking; brothers, Billy and Greg Cook, both of Belle, and Roger Cook of Alton; sisters, Cora Steen and Brenda Martin of Belle and Barbara Hollandsworth of Bland; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced by Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle.
