Brenda Gay Aaron, 77, Dixon, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, in St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis.

She was born Feb. 18, 1943, to Luther Jasper and Caroline Jane (Shelton) Alexander, at Dixon.

She was united in marriage to Johnny Steven Aaron, Aug. 6, 1981.

Brenda was a member of the Church of Christ in Dixon and a 1961 graduate of Dixon R-1 High School. She owned and operated, along with sister Linda, the Fashion Gallery Beauty Salon in Dixon for many years prior to her retirement in 2005. She later owned and operated, along with sister Angela, a small dog grooming business.

She was preceded in death by parents, Luther and Caroline; husband, Johnny; step-children, Deborah Nelson and Mike Aaron; brothers, Buell, Hurschall and Leland; sisters, Linda Overshon and Angela Baker; son-in-law, Jimmy Warman; and sisters-in-law, Pam and Mary Lea Alexander.

She is survived by daughter, Gay Lynn Sinden and husband Paul of Dixon; step-son, John Steven Aaron of Rolla; brothers, Jack Alexander and wife Mary of Springfield and Dariel Alexander of Dixon; sisters-in-law, Patsy and Maxine Alexander, both of Dixon; brothers-in-law, Bob Overshon and Danny Baker, both of Dixon; and two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be (today) Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 9-11 a.m. in the Church of Christ, Dixon, with funeral services following at 11 a.m. with Brendan S. Carr officiating. Interment will be in the West Fairview Cemetery near Dixon. Memorial contributions suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
