Brenda Fay Cox, 71, St. Louis, formerly of Belle, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at St. Louis University Hospital.

She was born March 26, 1949, to the late Rafe and Alice (Rogers) Cox, in Belle.

Brenda attended Belle grade school before her family moved to St. Louis where she attended Maplewood High School.

Brenda enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, eating popcorn and watching classic movies on TCM. She loved older country music, doing family genealogy and taking pictures of places she had been but her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. Brenda will be missed greatly by her family and all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant brother, Joseph; and sisters, Erma Jean Lucas and Lorana Kay Scott.

She is survived by daughter, Sarae Glaenzer and husband Mark of St. Louis; sons, Larry Tinnell Jr and wife Leslie of Barnhart and Gene Tinnell of St. Louis; grandchildren, Tiffany Breitenfeld, Kimberly Hagan, Joshua Wright, Ashley Tinnell, Angel Fitzwater and Alyssa Suter; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Lonnie Cox of St. Louis and Calvin Cox of Chamois; sister, Norma Dean Woods of Chamois; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation is (today) Wednesday, May 27, from 1-3 p.m. at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle with memorial service at 2 p.m. Burial of the cremains will be at Liberty Cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to Liberty Cemetery Fund.
