During the course of a two-vehicle accident last week on Highway 63 near Vienna, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a citizen stopped a driver from leaving the scene of the accident.
The accident occurred last Friday at 3:33 p.m. on Highway 63, two miles south of Vienna when a northbound 1996 Dodge Intrepid, driven by Thomas W. Harmon, 48, Laurie, struck the rear of a northbound 2007 Ford Edge, driven by Brittany L. Emanuel, 28, Gerald. The Dodge attempted to leave the scene but was stopped by a citizen.
Emanuel was wearing a safety device and it is unknown of Harmon was. He was transported to Capital Regional Medical Center, Jefferson City, with minor injuries.
The Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene. The Dodge received moderate damage and was towed by Plaza Towing, Vienna.
