County COVID-19 cases continue to increase

The Phelps-Maries Health Department reported a total of 123 positive tests in Maries County for the Covid-19 coronavirus. The health department reported these numbers on Oct. 8, 2020.

Of the 123 positive tests, 25 were active cases and 100 were persons released from isolation. There were two positive tests using the antigen test. Maries County had one person currently in the hospital and five persons who were released from hospitalization.

The Belle area had the largest number of persons with active Covid-19 cases at eight. The Belle statistics were a three-year-old female, 33-year-old male, 35-year-old male, 35-year-old male, 52-year old female, 54-year-old female, 65-year-old female, and 70-year old female.

In Vichy six persons had active cases of the virus and they included a four-year-old male, 14-year-old male, 35-year old female, 38-year-old male, 40-year-old female, and 44-year-old male.

In Vienna, persons with active cases of the virus included a 24-year-old male, 39-year-old male, 41-year-old male, 44-year-old male, and 53-year-old male.

The Dixon area had three active cases with a 17-year-old male, 46-year-old male, and 48-year-old female.

There were two active cases in the St. James area with a 37-year-old male, and a 61-year-old female who required hospitalization.
