Delores Hickman, 71, Dixon, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 23, 1948, to Larry and Josephine (Garza) Arreguin, at Kalamazoo, Mich.
She was united in marriage to Douglas Lee George, March 15, 1965, at Baltimore, Md. She was later united in marriage to Kermit Hickman.
Delores was baptized while attending Holy Cross Church and School in Lansing, Mich. She worked as a waitress for many years at Ted Williams Steak House in Buckhorn and for the Arches Restaurant in St. Robert. She continued her education to become a CNA and then was employed at Maries Manor Care and Rehabilitation in Vienna until her retirement in 1998.
She was preceded in death by parents, Larry and Josephine; second husband, Kermit; and sisters, Annette Arreguin and Mary Lou Carlson.
She is survived by daughters, Tina George, Jacquie Hidalgo and husband David, Molly Euler and husband Mike and Crystal Tadlock, all of Dixon; brother, Larry Arreguin of Owosso, Mich.; sisters, Janie Greer of Dixon, Tillie Morlan and husband Bill of Linn Creek, Frances Marti of Grand Rapids, Mich., Gloria Isom and husband Carl of Detroit, Mich., Alice Wray and husband Craig of Lansing, Mich., Sophie Hernandez and husband Fernando of Lansing, Mich., and Lupe Bell of the state of Kentucky; and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon, with funeral services following at 1 p.m. with Pastor Austin McCormick, Sheppard Baptist Church, near Dixon, officiating. Interment will be in the Pisgah Cemetery, near Dixon.
