Dorothy Ellen Gant, 82, Vienna, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, at her residence.
She was born July 14, 1937, to Benjamin Perry “Bennie” and Minnie Bernadine (Ihler) Eads, at Vienna.
She was united in marriage to Jerry Lee Gant, July 15, 1961, at Vienna.
Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church, Vienna. She worked most of her life as a certified nurses aid at Maries Manor in Vienna.
She was preceded in death by parents, Bennie and Minnie; husband, Jerry; brothers, Benjamin Paul Eads, John Arthur “Snoozer” Buelterman, Levi Glennon “Glen” Eads and Wesley Eads; son-in-law, Randy Clark; and one granddaughter and one granddaughter-in-law.
She was survived by sister, Sue Gant, who later passed away.
She is survived by daughters, Tammy Clark, Toni Willoughby, Penny Foster and husband Tim, Lisa Asher and Sara Briscoe and husband Joe, all of Vienna; sister, Wilma Helton; and 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 12-2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Vienna, where funeral services followed with Pastor Chris Slocum officiating. Interment was in Vienna Public Cemetery.
