Edward Leo Brown, 79, Owensville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
He was born Sept. 21, 1940, to George and Anna (Mohesky) Brown, in Owensville.
He was united in marriage to Sharon Haddox, Feb. 16, 1974, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Owensville.
Edward was a member of the Owensville Fire Department, Owensville Moose Lodge and a life time member of Owensville Gun Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino and spending time with grandchildren. He drove a truck for Beaufort Transfer for 34 years, retiring in 1994.
He was preceded in death by parents, George and Anna; children, Lisa Rodden and Deborah Hall; brother, Donald Brown; sister, Dorothy Stein; brother-in-law, John Stein; and sisters-in-law, Cheng Brown and Chiyoko Brown.
He is survived by wife, Sharon, of the home; children, Diana Hock and husband Matt of Jefferson City and Kevin Brown of Belle; sister, Virginia O’Connell of Austin, Texas; brother, George Brown of Tooele, Utah; sister-in-law, Connie Feeler and husband Lonnie of Belle; grandchildren, Christopher and Caleb Hock, Dalton Price and Crystal Brown; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be (today) Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gottenstroeter Chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens, Owensville.
