The Belle Fair Board has announced the entertainment line up for the 72nd annual event.

Fair Board member Rhonda Rodgers said the annual fair will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25 and she detailed what events would happen.

On Thursday night there will be a parade at 6 p.m. but it will not be judged. The carnival provider, Sunshine Amusements, will be open Thursday evening through Saturday night.

On Friday, the livestock show and judging will be held in the morning. Bingo games begin at 7 p.m. The antique tractor pull will be held at 7 p.m. The musical entertainment for the fair will be kicked-off by Barely Covered with a lawn concert from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by The Cherry Pistols performing from 9 to 11 p.m.

On Saturday, the Annual Kingsford Cook-off will be held from noon until 4 p.m. The livestock sale will begin at noon. The carnival will be making kids happy from 4 to 11 p.m. The popular greased pig contest will be held at 6 pm. Bingo playing will start at 7 p.m. Jim Roberds and the Touch of Country Band will be performing their farewell concert at from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The dance team will perform at 8:45 p.m., and the finale entertainment for the 72nd annual fair is a concert by ChristiAna from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m.

Fair goers will pay $5 admission at the gate as they enter the fairgrounds at the Belle City Park. They are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

Rodgers said the fair board will have to prepare a health and safety plan due to the COVID-19 coronavirus. This safety plan will be submitted to the health department. The lawn chairs will help fair goers remain safe by social distancing for the lawn concerts. There will be signs posted, arrows for entry and exit, hand sanitizing stations, and the bathrooms will be bleached and cleaned every three hours. They will try to have masks available at the gate for fair patrons who need them.

Rodgers said they will have the Belle Fair and will do the best they can. Although they can’t make anyone do it, the fair board members want to remind everyone to please social distance and wear masks.

The concession stand and beer garden will be open and vendors will be at the fair. Rodgers said volunteers are needed for the concession stand.
