Forrest Roger Honse, 78, Vienna, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, in Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City.
He was born Sept. 14, 1942, to Clyde Avery and Mabel (Frey) Honse, at Vienna.
He was united in marriage to Vivian Ramsey, June 19, 1965, in First Baptist Church, Vienna.
Forrest was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Vienna, where he served as Deacon for many years. He was owner and operator of Honse Implement Company in Vienna since 1970.
He was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Mabel; brothers, Harold Clyde Honse and wife Jewell Marie (Opperman) Honse, Lowell Pete Honse, Donald Eugene Honse and wife Mary Mildred “Millie” (Zimmer) Honse, Robert Leroy Honse and wife Joan (Hutchison) Honse and Edwin Wesley Honse; parents-in-law, Timothy Lee and Vivian Geneva “Neva” (Case) Ramsey; and brother-in-law, James Harvey “Jim” Ramsey.
He is survived by wife, Vivian, of the home; daughters, Kerri Johnson and husband Bill of St. Peters and Heather Duensing and husband Chance of Pleasant Hill; brothers, Charles Honse and wife May and Allen Honse and wife Barb, all of Vienna; sister, Joyce Ramsey and husband Gabe of Marshall; sisters-in-law, Jean Honse of Custer City, Okla., Elizabeth Honse Rowden and husband Ron of Vienna, Joyce Honse of Vienna and Jan Ramsey Greig and husband Jim of Rolla; brother-in-law, Roy Ramsey and wife Linda of Jefferson City; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held (today) Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Vienna, followed by a private family funeral service with Pastor Chris Slocum officiating. Visitation and funeral attendees are required to wear personal masks or other personal protection equipment, follow social distancing and close contact guidelines and adhere to COVID-19 protocol. The general public along with immediate family and relatives are welcome to join in the funeral procession from the church to attend the interment service in the Vienna Public Cemetery, following COVID-19 protocol. Memorial contributions suggested to the Backpack Ministry Program at First Baptist Church in Vienna.
