Frances Mary Schwartze, 78, Linn, formerly of Vienna, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City.
She was born June 23, 1942, to Stephen Henry “Steve” and Adelheide (Luebbert) Boeckmann, in Koeltztown.
She was united in marriage to Frederick John Schwartze, Sept. 24, 1960, at Koeltztown.
Frances was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Vienna where she assisted with the church bulletin. While living in Linn, she attended St. George Catholic Church. Frances was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary in Argyle and Westphalia and along with husband, Fred, was a founding leader of the Stockmasters 4-H Club in Vienna. She was a volunteer at Victorian Manor in Vienna. Frances was employed in home health services in Rolla and Jefferson City as well as in housekeeping at Capital Region Medical Center and Villa Marie: A StoneBridge Community, both in Jefferson City, prior to her 2015 retirement.
She was preceded in death by parents, Steve and Adelheide; husband, Fred; brothers, Alphonse, Lawrence, Victor, Joseph, Herb, Ray and Dave Boeckmann; and sister, Monica Bruemmer.
She is survived by sons, Don Schwartze and wife Pat of Brazito, Andrew Schwartze and wife Denise of Jefferson City and Robert Schwartze and wife Amy of Freeburg; daughters, Nancy Davis and husband Carl of Vienna and Margaret Ball and husband Brian of Paola, Kan.; brother, Arthur Boeckmann and wife Helen of Wardsville; sisters, Viola Weber and husband Elmer of Westphalia, Rose Marie Bishop of Centertown and Anna Marie Reinkemeyer and husband William “Bill” of Jefferson City; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held (today) Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 9-10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., all in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Vienna with Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki V.G. as celebrant. Interment will be in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery, Vienna. All attendees are required to wear personal masks or other personal protective equipment, follow social distancing and close contact guidelines and adhere to COVID-19 protocol. Memorial contributions suggested to Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
