Gary Lewis Null, 73, of Dixon, passed away Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at his residence.
He was born March 21, 1950, to Rudolph Lewis Null and Wilma Pearl (Sheldon) Massey in Arlington.
Gary entered active federal service in the U.S, Army Oct. 5, 1967, at St. Louis, and served until April 5, 1972, when he was honorably discharged at Ft. Dix, N.J., at the rank of SP5.
He was united in marriage to Lillian Devon Blanton, April 5, 1969.
Gary was employed for the Pulaski County Road and Bridge Department prior to his retirement.
He was proceeded in death by wife, Lillian; infant son, Jimmy Lewis Null; grandsons, Nash Maddox and Austin Null; father, Rudolph; parents, Wilma and Cecil Massey; sister, Katheryn Hoffman; and grandparents, David and Ellen Null.
Gary is survived by companion, Linda Hardesty-Null of Dixon; daughters, Shannon Bexten and husband Roger, Sandra “Sam” Null, Shelia Null all of Dixon, and Sherry Null; brothers, Jack Null of Bolivar, and C.J. Massey and wife Kristie of Dixon; sisters, Norma Ernst and husband Ernie of St. James, Brenda McCracken and husband Jim of St. James, Judy Elms, and Pam Massey and companion Dustin all of Dixon; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 12 p.m. (noon), at the Seaton Cemetery, Dixon.
