Gary D. Smith, 77, Dixon, passed away May 15, 2020, in Dixon Nursing and Rehab, Dixon.
He was born July 14, 1942, to George Ernest and Marguerite Hilda (Nelson) Smith, at Salt Lake City, Utah.
Gary served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a cab driver, mechanic, driver, mess hall worker and more.
He was preceded in death by parents, George and Marguerite; and siblings Alfred Prudence, Verda Elaine Hoecherl and husband Ray, LaVar Virgil Smith and wife Patty, Marilyn Joyce Paterson and husband Scott and Wayne Ernest Smith and wife Anita.
He is survived by sister, Betty Ruth Hall and husband Gratton “Red” of Springville, Utah; and sister-in-law, Rosalie Smith of Utah.
Visitation will be (today), May 20, from 1-2 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon. Memorial contributions suggested to benefit veterans.
