Harold “Bob” Robert Burton, 88, of Raymore, formerly of Dixon, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at Golden Years Care Center in Harrisonville.
He was born March 4, 1935, to Harold and Nellie Burton in Hammond, Ind.
He was united in marriage to Maxine Miller Burton, Nov. 8, 1954, in Kansas City.
Bob graduated from Bethany High School in 1954 and had vocational and other training for radio and telephone electronic engineering.
He was a member of the Lions Club in Kansas City; member of Vienna United Methodist Church in Vienna; member of the Eagles Club and served as president for a one-year term in Vienna; member of the Lions Club in Vienna; and member of Mid MO Old Car Club of Jefferson City.
Bob was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Nellie.
He is survived by wife, Maxine; sons, Mike Burton and wife Robyn and J. R. Burton and wife Carol; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be Friday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m. at Miriam Cemetery, Bethany.
