 John Arendal “Skip” Goforth, of Dixon, passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020 in Life Care of Waynesville.

He was born Nov. 3, 1950, to Ralph Woodrow and Evelyn Alice (Scott) Goforth in Waynesville.

John was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dixon. He had been a member of the Moonspinners band as a drummer. He was employed as an audio production company in Kansas City and later at a television station in Columbia. In the late 1970’s, he became worked in radio at KFBD and KJPW in St. Robert.

He was preceded in death by parents Ralph and Evelyn; and brother Skyler “Sky” Goforth.

John is survived by brother Scott Goforth, of Dixon; nephews; nieces; several cousins; and many friends.

Visitation for John will be held from 11a.m. ri 1 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, in the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home, Dixon, followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Todd Holman officiating. Interment will be in the Dixon Cemetery.

 Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. John A. “Skip” Goforth are suggested by his family to the Dixon Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
