Juanita Mae (Cox) Thompson, 72, Belle, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 18, 1946, to James Claeborn and Eva Mae (Shipp) Cox, in Clovis, N.M.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Lenard Thompson, Jan. 17, 1971, at First Christian Church, Belle.

Juanita grew up on a dairy farm in Floyd, N.M. She was a member of Rolla SDA Church. She received her BS in Secretarial Science from Union College in Lincoln, Neb.

She was preceded in death by parents, James and Eva; husband, Joseph; son, Keith E. Thompson; sister, Dorothy Nell Cox; brothers-in-law, Risk Gayed and Kenny Rollins; and sister-in-law, Lois Verl Harrison.

She is survived by daughters, Darla Schneider and husband Gary of Hermann and Karen Thompson of Jefferson City; son, Joseph L. Thompson of Belle; sisters, Bobbie Jean Gayed of Lincoln, Neb., Mary Tipps and husband Bob of Midland, Texas and her twin, Oneta Lambert and husband Lee of Lincoln, Neb.; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Rollins of Cicero, Ind. and Donna Caplinger and husband Mike of House Springs; brothers-in-law, Ira Thompson and wife Diana of Belle and Michael Harrision of Brush, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were Friday, Oct. 11, in the Francis Cemetery near Belle with Rodney Osborne officiating.
