Junior “Jug” O. Lansford, 88, Belle, passed away May 18, 2020 at Frene Valley of Owensville.
He was born Aug. 3, 1931, to Buehl and Bonnie (Pointer) Lansford, at College Hill.
He was united in marriage to Muriel Francis.
Junior served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed with Brown Shoe in Owensville.
He was preceded in death by parents, Buehl and Bonnie; wife, Muriel; and brothers, Pete, Charlie, Bruce, Buck and Leon Lansford.
Junior is survived by children, Darrell Lansford and wife Jeanette of Belle, Ronnie Lansford and wife Sheila of Bland, Roger Lansford and wife Tina of St. Louis, Keith Lansford of Belle, Kevin Lansford and wife Beckie of Belle, Leona Trentman of Belle, Cindy Doerr and husband Kevin of New Haven and Donna Herron of Belle; brother, Ted Lansford of St. Clair; sister, Linda Vicker of Washington; and 19 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren;
Private family funeral services will be held at Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle. Interment will be in the College Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to College Hill Cemetery fund.
