Coming off back-to-back wins over Viburnum and Calvary Lutheran, Jason Kampeter’s Vienna Lady Eagles looked to make it three in a row last Tuesday taking on Bourbon’s Lady Warhawks.

Limiting the hosts from Crawford County to nine first-half points, Vienna turned a 26-9 halftime lead into a 51-20 Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) victory on the road.

Of Vienna’s 10 first-quarter points, Kadence George accounted for six of them with Marsie Messersmith and Autumn Smith scoring two each.

George continued her dominant presence on offense with eight of Vienna’s 16 second-quarter points helping the Lady Eagles to their halftime lead.

Finishing off a solid second half, Hayes scored five of Vienna’s 11 fourth-quarter points to help the Lady Eagles score a GVC road win.

Leading Vienna on both sides of the floor, George finished with a triple double of 16 points, 13 rebounds and 10 steals.
