Larry R. Kelley, 72, Hancock, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020, in Cox Hospital South, Springfield.
He was born Nov. 20, 1947, to John Jasper Sr. and Eva Irene (Davis) Kelley, at Hancock.
He was united in marriage to Teresa Louise “Terry Lou” Gillmore, Feb. 28, 1983, at Waynesville.
Larry attended Hancock Christian Church. He was a member of the Heavy Equipment Local 513 and was owner and operator of Kelley Excavating. He later owned and operated Kelley Sand and Gravel in Waynesville and Kelley Quarries in Hancock as well as running the high lift and bailing hay.
He was preceded in death by parents, John and Eva; brothers, infant Herbert Dwight Kelley, Fred and Terry Kelly; sisters, Mary Lee Alexander and Lula Mae Kelley; and sisters-in-law, Cheryl and June Kelley.
He is survived by wife, Terry Lou; children, Laura Kelley of Richland, Barbie Cassady and husband Jay of Jefferson City, Peggy Ramsey and husband Brian of Iberia and Kris Hinkle and husband Daniel and Neil Creamer, all of Hancock; brothers, Tom Kelley and wife Barb and Jay Kelley, all of Dixon; sister, Verla Patterson and husband Kenny of Washington; and 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 20, in the Long-Kloeppel Funeral Chapel in Dixon with Pastor Jerry Dooley of Word of Life Fellowship officiating. Interment was in the Seaton Cemetery near Dixon.
