Linda Amelia Hood, 67, rural Dixon, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at her residence.

She was born May 30, 1952, to William Robert and Mary Amelia (Williams) Call Sr., at Jefferson City.

She was united in marriage to Michael Arthur Hood, Oct. 26, 1974, at Hickory Hill Baptist Church, Eugene.

Linda was baptized into the Baptist faith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vienna, where she worked in the Kids Club program. She was a 1970 graduate of Cole R-V in Eugene and a 1971 graduate of Jefferson City School of Practical Nursing. She had been employed at Capital Region Medical Center, formerly Charles E. Still Osteopathic Hospital, Jefferson City, before retiring in 2013 after 41 years.

She was preceded in death by parents, William and Mary; and brothers, Tommy, Raymond and Richard “Dick” Call.

She is survived by children, Michele Vogt of rural Dixon, Sarah Lehmen and husband Andy of Osage Bend, Ryan Hood and wife Teresea of Stover and Nora Moss and husband Roger of Versailles; brothers, William “Bill” Call Jr. and wife Trellis and Jim Call and wife Karen, all of Jefferson City, Ron Call and wife Sandy of Eugne, David Call and wife Sharon of Pryor, Okla., Mike Call and wife Doris of Henley and Chuck Call and wife Janice of Eugene; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Libbert and husband Kevin of Honey Creek; and 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Monday, March 9, at First Baptist Church, Vienna, with Rev. Chris Slocum officiating. Burial followed in the Hickory Hill Cemetery, Eugene. Memorial contributions suggested to Hickory Hill Cemetery Perpetual Fund or Hospice Compassus Osage Beach.
