Lorene Nettie Brandt, 91, Dixon, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in Life Care Center, Waynesville.
She was born Feb. 2, 1929, to Eugene and Stella (Wallace) Ziegler.
She was united in marriage to Frank Brandt, June 18, 1948, at Dixon.
Lorene was a member of First Baptist Church of Dixon and the Order of the Eastern Star. She had been employed at Brown Shoe Company, Dixon, and later by Civil Service at Fort Leonard Wood, prior to her retirement, followed by providing childcare.
She was preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Stella; husband, Frank; brothers, Fred and Melvin Ziegler; sisters, Evelyn McKeown, Lucille Clayton and Alma Smith; and great-granddaughter, Mikayla Sherrell.
She is survived by children, James Brandt and wife Lisa, Kathy Saunchegrow and husband Dale and Karl Brandt and wife Kathy, all of Dixon; sister, Mary Agnes Grempczynski of Villa Ridge; and six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A graveside funeral service was held Thursday, April 16, in the High Point Cemetery in Dixon with Pastor Jerry Dooley officiating.
