Mary Jane Plante Butler, 79, Belle, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, at SSM Health St. Mary’s in Jefferson City.
She was born Aug. 22, 1940, to Romeo and Margaret (Weber) Plante, in Chester County, Pa.
She was united in marriage to Marion “Sonny” Elwood Butler, Aug. 22, 1959, in Lowell, Mass.
Mary was a 1958 graduate of Lowell High School, Lowell, Mass.
She was preceded in death by parents, Romeo and Margaret; husband, Sonny; son, Timothy Butler; daughters, Dora and Paulette Butler; brother, Leo Plante; and sisters, Margaret Sawtelle and Jeannette Hedlund.
She is survived by children, Warren Butler and wife Carla of Belle, Tracey Creswell and husband Charlie of Belle, Nora Butler of Clinton, Lisa Gould and husband Harold Jr. of Bland, Elizabeth Butler of Kansas City, Caroline Calvin and husband Jerry of Columbia and Richard Butler and wife Rose of St. Clair; sister, Paulette Boucher of Lowell, Mass.; and by 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 9, at Morton Chapel in Linn with elders Dale and Larry Banks officiating. Interment followed at Community of Christ Cemetery in Linn. Memorial contributions suggested to the American Cancer Society.
