Mary Lee (Butler) Woemmel, age 78, of Belle, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020, at her residence.
Mary was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Belle, a daughter to the late Victor and Delcie (Sieg) Butler.
On July 16, 1960, Mary was united in marriage to Russell Edward Woemmel. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1990. To this union they had four children, Douglas Woemmel and his wife Joani of Washington, Randy Woemmel and his wife Toni of Owensville, Ricky Woemmel and his wife Donna of Belle and Barbara Woemmel of the home.
Also surviving are four sisters, Donna Buddemeyer of Belle, Norma (Jewell) Harris of Vida, Lorna (Donnie) Stogsdill of Rolla and Linda (Dan) Rogers of Belle; two brothers, Joey (Carol) Butler of Belle and Jerry Butler of Nelson; seven grandchildren, Corey (Caity), Alyssa, Caleb, Danielle, Russell, Brooke and Lacy as well as one great-grandson, Ian Edward Woemmel; three special great nephews twins Ryker and Ryder, Treyton Huebner, and a special great niece, Teagan Huebner, all of Belle, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and spouse of 30 years, Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Party, Doris Altmeyer and Delpa Jones; three brothers, William “Billy”, Robert “Bob” and Lonnie J. Butler; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward and Leona (Lindhart) Woemmel; one grandson, Corey Edward Woemmel; and two brothers-in-law Robert Woemmel and Bill Party.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 28, at 10 a.m. at Faith Christian Center Assembly of God Church in Belle.
