Muriel J. Copeland, 84, Meta, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 24, 1936, to Homer and Delphia (Helton) Copeland, in Meta.
He was united in marriage Aug. 22,1959, to Lois Dean Dake, near Iberia.
Muriel served U.S. Army. He was employed at Westinghouse as a welder for 20 years and worked on the farm tending to his livestock. Muriel was a member of Mason Ridge Church.
He was preceded in death by wife, Lois; brother, Gayle Copeland; and one infant brother.
He is survived by sons, Jim (Cindy Dworek) of Vienna and Steve of Meta; step-grandson, Dylan Dworek; and brother, Robert Copeland and wife Mary Ann of St. Louis.
A private family service will be held at a later date with final inurnment at Dake Cemetery near Iberia. Memorial contributions suggested to the Missouri Honor Flight. Arrangements entrusted to Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
