Following the recent resignation of Nick Lovell, the Maries County R-1 School District in Vienna found themselves a new activities director Monday night.
Approved by a unanimous vote at Monday, April 27 meeting of the Maries County R-1 Board of Education, Cory Nicholson was hired to replace Lovell as the new Vienna High School Activities Director, head baseball coach and physical education (PE) teacher.
“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to be a teacher and coach at Vienna,” Nicholson said via a statement to the district. “I look forward to building a great program full of hard working student athletes.”
Nicholson is also anxious for the 2020-21 school year to begin in central Maries County.
“I am beyond excited to meet everyone and cannot wait for the school year to begin,” Nicholson said.
