Organizers fundraising for Vienna Back-to-School Fair

Posted

The committee members organizing the 3rd Annual Vienna Back to School Fair are moving forward with fundraising to purchase school supplies for Vienna public and private school students. At this time they are unsure if the school fair will be held, or if the supplies will be bagged up and given to students at open house. But, the committee recently sent letters to local churches and businesses asking for monetary donations so they can move forward with purchasing the supplies.

In the letter the committee sent it said they hope the new school year will be back to some sort of a normal in August. The school  supplies help out many families of students from both Maries R-1 School and Visitation Inter-Parish School. There is no cost to parents to receive the supplies as the community in the past has been generous with its donations. The committee said a donation of any monetary amount will be appreciated.

At this time they don’t know if the annual school fair is possible. Volunteers are welcome whether there is a public event or not as help will be needed bagging supplies for the students. The committee asked for people to mention in a note a willingness to volunteer when mailing in the donation.

The committee needs the monetary donation as soon as possible as there is work to do compiling the list of supplies needed, total the funds collected, search for good prices on supplies and how many can be purchased. Then they will need to be organized for the school fair.

The committee asks the donations from anyone to help pay for student school supplies be mailed to Donna Haller, 12133 MCR 614, Vienna, MO  65582.

Persons with questions may contact Haller at 422-3482, Sara Campbell 573-301-8077 or Malinda Howard at 573-578-6361.
