Raymond Honse, 88, St. Peters, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020.

He was born May 12, 1932, to Carl and Myrtle (Crum) Honse, in Vienna.

Raymond served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War stationed mainly in Japan and the U.S. After returning from the war, he studied engineering at Washington University as he worked for McDonnell Douglas as an aeronautical engineer until his retirement. Raymond was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Charles where he previously taught bible study over the years.

He was preceded in death by parents, Carl and Myrtle; sister, Shirley Nixon and husband Leroy; and brothers, Gerald Honse and wife Maddie and Daniel Honse.

He is survived by wife, Joyce; daughter, Linda Ingram and husband Wayne; brother, Bill Honse and wife Linda; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Honse; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9-11 a.m. with funeral services following at 11 a.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funeral & Receptions, St. Peters. Interment will be Monday, Oct. 26, at Smith Stevenson Cemetery in Dexter. Face coverings and social distancing is requested. Memorial contributions suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
