Finishing with a double digits win total for the first time in five years, Belle Lady Tiger volleyball junior Olivia Sanders earned postseason nods from the coaches in the Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) and the Class 2, District 8 Volleyball Tournament.
Sanders was not only among 13 volleyball players named to the All-GVC Volleyball Team, she was also Belle’s selection for the GVC Sportsmanship Award.
Players joining Sanders on the All-GVC Volleyball team included MVP Taylor Montalbano (Cuba), Tatumn Boyer (Viburnum), Daylan Pryor (Steelville), Sofia Kelly (Cuba), Colbe Radford (Bourbon), Lynnae Gill (Viburnum), Jayda Mercer (Cuba), Ashlyn Lewis (Bourbon), Mya Thompson (Viburnum), Sydney Booker (Steelville), Morgan Louderman (Bourbon) and Emily Barton (Viburnum).
Sportsmanship Award recipients along with Sanders included Louderman (Bourbon), Lexi Earnhart (Cuba), Courtney Diaz (Steelville) and Kyleigh Payne (Viburnum).
After Fatima captured the Class 2, District 8 title, six players were each named to the All-District first and second teams.
Sanders was selected to the Class 2, District 8 All-District Second Team.
Fatima saw their season end in the Class 2 Quarterfinals against eventual state champion Hermann.
