Sandy Stratman and Howie Burd of Meta, were united in marriage Saturday, June 20, 2020, outside their home in western Maries County surrounded by their closest family and friends. A reception immediately followed under the shade in their backyard. The ceremony was officiated by the groom’s father, Don Burd.
The bride is the daughter of Nina Stratman of Vienna and the late George Stratman. The groom is the son of Don and Joyce Burd of Iberia and Carolyn and Bob McFadden of Meta.
Elaine Cloyde of Vienna, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and Tim Burd of Meta, brother of the groom, served as best man.
The couple decided to postpone their dance until later when they will be able to celebrate with all their family and friends. They also plan to make their honeymoon trip to Florida at a future date.
