VIENNA — The Vienna Chamber of Commerce (VCOC) is hosting its annual Luncheon with the Chamber program and luncheon where awards are presented to chamber members recognizing their contributions to the community.

The luncheon will be held Friday, Jan. 10 at noon at 4C’s Edge, Highway 63 North near the Maries-Osage county line. At the event, three awards will be presented. The businesses were nominated by chamber members, narrowed down to three per award by the VCOC board members, and then voted on by chamber members.

Nominees for the Heart of Vienna Award are Richard Howard, Sharon Wulff and Mary Joyce Helton. The Heart of Vienna Award is given to a person who has shown by his/her actions an exceptional devotion and love for the Vienna community. This could be demonstrated by the way he/she shares a willing smile or greets people on the street, by sharing their time and talents, or by their financial contributions to the community. The person will have a “heart for the community” and make it a better place to live and work.

Nominees for the Pioneer Award are Heartland Regional Library, Maries County Crisis Center, and Sinks Pharmacy. This award recognizes a chamber business for its noteworthy accomplishments, long-standing contributions to the community, ethical approach to business, and significant community service efforts. To be eligible for the award, the business must be a chamber business that has been in business for 10 or more years

Nominees for the New Horizon Award are Four C’s Edge, Hen House Boutique & Decor LLC, and Maries County Advocate. This award recognizes a chamber business for its motivation and inspiration to find their niche in the local community. Their ability to evolve and grow as the business develops and expands. Their business accomplishments both with the services they provide and their personal dedication to the community in volunteering, donations and more. To be eligible for the award, a business must have been in business five years or less.

Tickets to the luncheon and program can be purchased for $15 each at The Maries County Bank or at Heartland Regional Library in Vienna by Monday, Jan. 6.

Last year’s winners were: Heart of Vienna—Fern Robertson, Pioneer Award—Birmingham-Martin Funeral Hoe, and New Horizon Award—Results Real Estate & Auction.
