A Vienna woman is in the Maries County Jail following the execution of a search warrant by local law enforcement and officers from the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group (LANEG).

Vienna Police Chief Shannon Thompson reported that on Thursday, Feb. 13, the task force officers, the Vienna Police Department, and the Maries County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 306 N. Main Street as a result of a joint investigation involving the task force and Vienna PD. During the search officers seized suspected methamphetamine, prescription drugs, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Laurie C. Pierce, 59, of Vienna, was arrested by the Vienna PD and transported to the Maries County Jail where she was held without a bond until her first court appearance.

Pierce was formally charged by Maries County Prosecuting Attorney Anthony “Tony” Skouby with two counts of the class D felony possession of controlled substances, class A misdemeanors of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of under 35 grams of marijuana
