Willard Eugene Mehrhoff, 89, of Bland, Mo., departed this life on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 5, 1930, to August Adolph and Barbara Lee Ethel (Koerber) Mehrhoff in Pilot Knob.

He married the love of his life, Alma Bentlage on May 14, 1955, and had four children together.

Willard attended school as a child in a one-room school in Buck Elk. He graduated High School in Belle. He worked at International Shoe Company in Belle until the plant closed in 1982. He then worked at Mid-Mo Graphics in Owensville for almost 16 years and then retired. He returned to doing what he loved most, farming. His joy was driving his John Deere Tractor, caring for his cattle and watching his hayfields grow and spending time with the family at Sunday evening dinners.

He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Ethel Mehrhoff; sister, Marie Mehrhoff; grandson, James Robert Buschmann; and son-in-law, Kevin Schlottog.

He is survived by his wife, Alma of Bland; sons, Mike and wife Donna and Kenny and wife Brenella all of Bland; daughters, Barbara Buschmann and husband Norman of Mt. Sterling; and Carol Hamilton and husband Jerry of Bland; grandchildren, Jeannie with children Beau and Mikal, Beki Willis and husband Dave with children Ethan, Sam, Morgan, Hank and Jeb, Mandi Loughridge and husband Joe with children Cole, McKenna, Vidella and Joey, Tracy Kinder and husband J. and son Kash, Kurtis Schlottog and wife Rachel and son Jancen, Cara Newton and husband Josh with children Layne and Annastyn, Tommi Campbell with husband Tyler and daughter Tatyn and Tyler Mehrhoff.

Funeral services were on Saturday, Feb. 22 . at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Rev. Van Lahmeyer officiating. Burial was in Leduc Cemetery near Bland. Memorials requested to Leduc Methodist Cemetery.
