William “Bill” L. Schwegler, 79, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023, of Mission, Texas, in Grand Blanc, Mich.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1943, to Leslie Lewis Schwegler and Ruby Nadine Clark in Maries County.
He was married to Judy Ann Warren, Sept.11, 1965, in Wellston.
Bill was a 1959 graduate of Dixon High School and 1971 graduate of the University of Missouri at St. Louis. He served in the Missouri Air National Guard for 25 years ending with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He worked for General Motors for over 36 years. He was baptised and a member of the Price Rd. Church of Christ, in Brownsville, Texas. Serving as an active, working member of the Church of Christ everywhere he lived and also served as an elder.
He was preceded in death by parents, Leslie and Ruby; and daughter, Stephanie Dawn Rigney.
Bill is survived by wife Judy of Mission, Texas; son, Jason B. Schwegler and wife Shannon of Grand Blanc, Mich.; grandchildren, Ethan, Kathryn and Johnathan Schwegler; and brother, Buel L. Schwegler and wife Jane of Waynesville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, at Otisville Church of Christ, Otisville, Mich., with Nathan Razor as officiant.
